San Antonio Part 2

Thought I would share some final pictures of our trip to San Antonio.  We spent New Year's Day and night there as well, and I was happy to get to explore the Riverwalk during the day.

The plant life around the river was very cool.  A lot of time was put into the design, and it paid off!

Thought this building looked really cool - not sure what it is, but it's pretty!

Church still had the Christmas tree up. 

Walking around was very relaxing, the atmosphere was awesome.

Had to visit the Alamo while we were there!

NYE in San Antonio

To celebrate New Year's Eve, and our 3 year anniversary C and I took a trip to San Antonio.  We've never been, and I was really excited to explore!  Our hotel had a rooftop bar, and our room opened right out into it.  It was really fun and we got there just in time to see the sunset over the city's horizon.

We started on the River Walk to find a place for dinner.  C got tired about halfway through the walk and had to take a break :)

I really liked the walk, there are so many different things going on.  Yes, that's C trying to ruin my picture in the back!

We also walked by a waterfall right next to the river, so cool!

I was really happy we went around Christmas time because we got to see all of the Christmas lights still up.  They make the walk even more pretty.

I loved the restaurants on the sides that had outdoor seating.

After dinner we went back to the hotel to watch fireworks and have drinks on the roof. 

The fireworks were so cool, I had never seen anything like it.  The whole horizon, anywhere you could see, there were fireworks going off.  It was a great way to ring in 2012!
