Mia Now & Then

I have finally made it to Phoenix, and am elated to be back with my little family!  This past month without C and Mia has been a little challenging.  I enjoyed my last month in Dallas making time for the people and places I will miss the most, but it's nice to finally be all back together again.  Mia is 8 months old now, which I can't believe, and I also still can't believe how much she continues to grow.  It's especially apparent when you don't see her for a month!
Or when you compare her now to what she looked like when we first got her.  Disclaimer: toy pig was indeed harmed and no longer exists in the toy rotation.
Here's our big girl now.... amazing how much she's grown!  Vet says she might end up around 40-50 pounds, compared to the 4 pound puppy we had at first, a lot has changed.  I guess even though she's not my cute little baby anymore, at least she's potty trained, and still cute :)

Little Mia

Mia has eaten some kind of rock or something and has been sick for about a week.  She spent Thursday night at the vet and came back on Friday still out of it with a bandage on her leg from the IV.  Sunday she started feeling better and was back to her normal crazy self.  I couldn't help but post this cute picture of her sleeping.. she looks so adorable.

Happy Monday, have a great week!

Mia Has Tripled

Look how big Mia is getting.  She was 4 pounds when we got her; last week she weighed in at 15 pounds.  Little girl is growing up so fast!!
Have I mentioned she likes to eat everything?  Every. Thing.  Including everything she could find on the beach this past week in Port Aransas.
Happy Thursday!

Dallas "Winter"

This is what I wake up to everyday.  Yes, I have Crocs.  No, I don't think they're cute.  I do, however, think they're the most comfortable shoe ever, and they're easy to slip on and take Mia outside.  Unfortunately Mia likes to eat 3 things: Crocs, my hands, and C's hands.  Makes it hard to get them on my feet and out every morning... she's so cute though, I can't stay mad for too long.
Last year at this time we had a HUGE snow storm.  Look at how different the landscape looks now to how it looked last year.  I'm starting to wonder if this will be Dallas' winter this year.  I'm ok with it; being that we have a new puppy, the nice weather has made it a lot easier for us to take care of her.
Taking walks in the morning with Mia and my crocs, without socks, is actually really nice.  We both enjoy the weather and sunrise.
Being that I'm from the Midwest, I'm a little concerned if/when Mia does see some snow she'll be a little freaked out.  We'll deal with that when the time comes though, and I'm starting to think it won't be this winter!

Make sure you stop back here tomorrow for a great Super Bowl appetizer!
