We're Not Perfect....

“And I pondered how life isn’t perfect. How I’m not perfect. How those I love aren’t perfect. But how loving them…fully loving them warts and all…is somehow perfect, especially when faced with the possibility of not having them.”

One of the great things about following blogs is the excellent writing I have the opportunity to read on a daily basis.  Whether it's about some one's pregnancy journey - Daily Garnish; learning new and healthy meals to make - Eat Live Run; or even to get a little laugh - The Hot Mess Chronicles.  They cover all kinds of topics and you get to follow the trials and tribulations of their lives.  It makes this big bad cyber world seem a lot smaller.
I recently came across an amazing post on one of my favorite blogs, Dine and Dish, about how she had just lost her brother to cancer.  She wrote a great post about accepting things and people for exactly who they are, and appreciating them for being themselves and being real.  In the end, life goes by way too fast, and it seems all we can do is try and be understanding of one another, and learn to forgive.  It will make our lives and the lives of the people we love happier and easier, even if it's only by a tiny bit.
We're coming up on Labor Day weekend, which is always a hard weekend for me because it's the anniversary of the death of a very close friend of mine.  Kristin's post reminded me of what is important, especially because we honestly don't know the last words we'll ever say to someone.
I'm happy to say I'll be spending the weekend with C and my best friend Arran.  They have been two of the most important people to me, and will always be the two people who helped me carry on through some very tough times.  I hope all of you are able to spend the holiday weekend surrounded by people you love.
Happy Labor Day, see you back here next week!
